Sibling Doula

As your family expands with the arrival of a new little one, I understand the need for dedicated support when relatives are not around. As your sibling doula, I provide care for older children during the birthing process, ensuring they feel secure while you focus on welcoming the newest member of the family. 

Please inquire about rates. Minimum of 24 hours of continuous care.

This service includes

  • On-call starting at 3 weeks before your due date
  • Childcare for siblings while parents are at the hospital (ensuring child safety, preparing meals and snacks, bathing and dressing, transporting the children, helping with homework, getting children to bed on time, etc)
  • Emotional support to older siblings, acknowledging and addressing any feelings of adjustment or concern they may be experiencing
  • Pet sitting
  • Laundry and light housekeeping 
  • Meal-prep for when the family returns
  • Open communication with the parents and updates on the siblings' well-being to provide peace of mind for all involved
  • Age-appropriate resources such as games, books, and crafts to keep siblings entertained
  • Meet and greet before birth to bond with the children
  • One postpartum visit to assist with breastfeeding
