“Day of  discharge" visit

As you prepare to leave the hospital and embark on your postpartum journey at home, I offer a specialized “Day of Discharge” visit to ensure a smooth transition.

Payable in full upon booking, this service is designed to provide personalized support on the pivotal day of your discharge.

Recommended on the day you return home from the hospital or within 72 hours of being discharged:

This visit can include

  • Unpacking and organizing items from your birth
  • Baby weight check and growth chart plotting
  • Washing and sanitizing bottles and pump parts
  • Setting up diapering, feeding, and postpartum recovery stations & supplies, preparing padsicles, etc
  • Light Housekeeping and baby laundry
  • Postpartum recovery support for the birthing parent: preparing padsicles, Sitz bath, Yoni vaginal steaming, etc
  • Referrals for other care (IBCLC, Pelvic Floor therapist, parenting groups, family therapy, etc)
  • Expert guidance and tips on newborn care (swaddling practice, baby-wearing, burping, bathing and hygiene, diapering, sleep safety, umbilical cord care, paced bottle feeding, reducing gas and reflux, taking temperature, and more)
  • Non-judgmental advice and education tailored to your family’s needs
  • Evidence based-information and personalized resources, including written instructions and additional materials
  • 2 weeks of unlimited email and text support (I will respond within 24 hours.)
