Hello, I’m Thais Hand, a compassionate birth and postpartum doula, and mother dedicated to supporting new families. With a special focus on newborn care and lactation, I share my expertise and tips with new parents, helping them navigate the journey with confidence.
My passion for working with children and newborns stems from my background as a language instructor and preschool teacher in Brazil, as well as my experience supporting families through prenatal and fertility testing at a major genetic testing lab.
As a mother to a 6-year-old daughter with autism, I’m deeply committed to empowering families with children with disabilities. I’ve pursued studies in applied behavior analysis and sign language to support my daughter’s development.
Driven by my own experiences overcoming breastfeeding challenges, I pursued specialized training to support others in their journeys. I completed the Lactation Education Counselor program at the University of San Diego and am currently working towards Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant. Additionally, I’ve received training in mammary massage and advanced lactation therapy, enabling me to offer expert guidance and care. My comprehensive lactation support services include access to a Medela lactation scale, pump, and a full range of breastfeeding supplies, ensuring new mothers receive the tools and confidence they need to succeed.
In addition to lactation support, I’m a certified pediatric sleep consultant, offering gentle guidance to help babies establish healthy sleep habits. I provide loving overnight care, giving parents a much-needed break while their little ones thrive.
Throughout your newborn journey, I’m here to offer emotional support, guidance, and answers to your questions. My goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence to navigate the challenges of new parenthood.
